Except for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Nook’s Cranny is the first incarnation of Tom Nook’s Store in most mainstream Animal Crossing games. Nook’s Cranny is a shop where the player can buy Animal Crossing items such as furniture, equipment, and native fruits. It also functions as a pawnbroker, allowing the player to sell items they no longer want in exchange for money.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nook’s Cranny reappears, but with a few notable differences: it is run by Timmy and Tommy, the inventory is bigger, updated models of the shop are now called “Nook’s Cranny,” and a convenient delivery box outside the store is still open to sell goods at a lower price.
Timmy will open a small shop in Residential Services when you first arrive on your island in New Horizons. You can sell ACNH items for Bells and buy a variety of items, including flower seeds, from this location. After you’ve paid off your tent with Nook Miles, the tanuki crew will ask you to assist in the construction of Nook’s Cranny. To build Nook’s Cranny, you’ll need the following materials: 30x Wood
30x Softwood
30x Hardwood
30x Iron Nuggets
Return to Residential Services and hand them over to Timmy after you’ve gathered all of these materials. In exchange, he’ll let you choose the venue for the new store. All you have to do now is wait a day for the shop to be constructed!
How to Upgrade Nook’s Cranny in ACNH?
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there are three key criteria you must fulfill in order to update and extend the Nook’s Cranny shop. Here’s what they are and how to meet them all.
After Nook’s Cranny is established, you have 30 days to play.
You must have played for 30 days after the original Nook’s Cranny was installed on your island to unlock the Nook’s Cranny expansion in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The first Nook’s Cranny was most likely constructed on the third or fourth day of play for the majority of matches. So, if you add 33-34 days to the date you first started playing Animal Crossing: Horizons, you should be able to access the Nook’s Cranny expansion around that time.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you must invest or raise a healthy amount of money with Timmy and Tommy in the shop in order to upgrade Nook’s Cranny. You must have purchased or sold at least 200,000 Animal Crossing NH Bells worth of products to qualify. This can involve simple tasks like selling fish or bugs to Timmy and Tommy, so if you’ve been regularly playing the game, achieving this objective shouldn’t be too difficult. The majority of players should naturally achieve this before reaching the previously described time gate. If you just want to make sure you get there, buy all of the furniture pieces in stock at Nook’s Cranny every day. We recommend doing this anyway to help you fill up your Nook Shopping catalog with a variety of products, which is useful for achieving Nook Miles and getting a variety of items to re-order!
